GOTV Thank You!

E-mail Print PDF

Thank you all for the fantastic job you did recruiting callers for our two-night GOTV calling effort last week at the Costco Call Center. We had the best turnout we've ever had for a levy campaign, and it meant that we called everyone on our list -- almost 12,000 voters -- and even finished a little early on Thursday night. The feedback I heard and am still hearing is that the calls were easy, almost everyone was positive and supportive, and that our callers actually thought it was fun.

Here are some reminders for this week and location information for Honk & Waves, the first of which are this Friday.

Posting Yard Signs

You should have heard from Vicki Hoffman over the weekend about where to post your supply of yard signs. All signs should be up by now. If you need more signs or stakes, contact Vicki. In addition, there will be some extras available at the IEA office (next door to Issaquah Trophy, across from Tibbett's Field in Issaquah) if you want to pick some extras up. The IEA office is generally open between 8 and 4:30 each school day. Call to make sure someone is there before you come: 392-2126‎

PTSA Post Cards:

High school PTSAs: you should be dropping your labeled postcards at the post office tomorrow, Wed. Jan. 20th. Middle schools, your date is the 27th, and elementary school PTSAs, your date is Feb. 1st. If you have any questions, let me or Anne Moore know.

Honk & Wave:

Here is the list of Honk & Wave locations with school assignments. We want people at these locations during both the AM and PM drive times (time frames for both are indicated on the list) on both the 22nd and the 8th. Please make sure you have a handful of parents (kids are welcome, too) at your school's assigned location for each H & W 'event'. Be aware that you may be joined there by teachers, other staff, high school students and other community members. You cannot have too many people at Honk & Waves!

Vicki should have gotten you some lighter weight signs to use during H & Ws. Make sure the people who will be stationed at your school's site during each H&W event have signs to hold. Honk & Wavers may also use close by yard signs by pulling them off the stakes, as long as they return them there afterward. Several of us will be circulating among the H & W sites to make sure there are enough signs.

Ballots:

You should be seeing your ballot in your mailbox any day now. Send it in ASAP and urge your friends to do the same.

Thanks, everyone, for all your great work. See you at Honk & Waves.
